Your financial records stay with you
This policy covers Payday — Your Freelance Money, provided by the developer listed on its App Store page. Payday does not require an account. Your income and expense records stay on your device. They are not sent to Meta, RevenueCat, or a Payday server. Purchases, currency-rate updates, and optional ad measurement use online services as described below.
Information stored on your device
Your income and expense entries, amounts, client details, notes, saved sources, goals, preferences, and cached currency rates are stored locally on your device. Payday does not sync these records to a cloud database. Files you choose to export or share, and device backups managed by you or Apple, may contain your records.
Your onboarding answers and selected region are also kept locally. Reports are calculated from your saved entries on your device. Demo entries are sample data, not real transactions.
Imports, exports, and backups
CSV imports are read on your device. When you export or share a CSV, you choose where it goes. That file can contain financial details, so only share it with people or services you trust. Copies saved outside Payday are managed by you and the destination service; deleting an entry in Payday does not delete those copies.
Device backups may include Payday’s local data depending on your Apple settings. Payday does not manage those backups or restore financial records through RevenueCat or Meta.
Scanning and dictation
On supported devices, scanning and dictation use on-device Apple frameworks to help create entries. Payday does not send receipt images, statement images, or dictated financial details to Meta or RevenueCat. Selected images are not retained by Payday after processing; the entries you save remain on your device.
Currency rates
Payday downloads public reference rates from the European Central Bank when refreshing currency rates. Your income and expense information is not included in that request. Like other online services, the provider receives network information needed to respond, such as your IP address.
Purchases
Payday Pro and optional globe purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. RevenueCat helps verify purchases and restore access. It processes an app-generated customer identifier and App Store purchase information, such as product identifiers, transactions, and purchase status. This is information about buying Payday features, not the income or expenses you enter. Payday does not receive your payment card details. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
For eligible customers who bought Payday before it became free to download, Payday uses Apple’s verified app-purchase information to check earlier paid access. Restoring a purchase restores access, not your income or expense records.
Optional Meta ad measurement
Payday asks for tracking permission to help measure its ads on Facebook and Instagram. If you allow tracking and ad measurement is enabled in Payday, the Meta SDK can send app activity and successful new Payday Pro purchase events to Meta. Purchase events include the Pro product identifier, its App Store price, and currency. Meta also receives device and app information, advertising identifiers where permitted, and network information such as your IP address. Meta may use this information to match activity to its accounts and measure or improve advertising.
Your income and expense amounts, client names, notes, receipts, dictation, and onboarding answers are not included in these events. Automatic event logging, event suggestions, and automatic advanced matching are disabled for this integration.
You can decline tracking without losing app features. To stop future ad-measurement events, turn off Ad measurement in Payday’s Settings, or revoke tracking permission in iOS Settings. Payday does not initialize the Meta SDK before permission is granted and does not replay pre-consent activity later. Turning measurement off does not erase information already sent. Meta’s handling and retention of received information are described in Meta’s privacy policy.
How long information is kept
Financial records remain in Payday’s local storage until you delete them or remove the app. Local preferences and purchase-access information support the app’s features. Apple, RevenueCat, and Meta retain the information they receive under their own policies and applicable requirements; deleting Payday does not automatically delete information held by those services.
Deleting your data and making requests
You can delete individual records in Payday or use Delete All Data in Settings. Removing the app also removes its locally stored data, subject to any device backups managed by you or Apple.
Deleting local records does not cancel an App Store purchase or erase purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat, or events already sent to Meta. For privacy questions or requests about access, correction, or deletion of service-held information, email [email protected]. Do not include your financial records or payment card details. Meta’s privacy policy also explains its data controls and deletion options.
